Darkthrone's latest output rocks!
The only criticism I can make toward them is the fact they're on a money-hungry label who release album in a fucking shit 'super jewel box', or so it's called. It's ugly as fuck. Fortunately the music makes up for it.

The opening riff of this album is one of the blackest.

My criticism is that only the digital version is released here at this point, so i can't have the real CD version for a week or so. I am addicted to the song "Hiking metal punks." ^_^

Currently listening to a solid version of the CD.

I can't stand this new album myself, I didn't enjoy F.O.A.D either. Totally generic riffs and terrible vocals. I don't really understand why everyone is praising their new output. They really just sound like a joke to me now...like no thought was put into the riffs or vocals and they're just fucking goofing off. It's like they forgot how to play real metal to my ears.

For the record, I'm not an elitist prick when it comes to Darkthrone either. I've enjoyed everything they've done until the last 2 albums.

But I didn't find the riffs bland, either on FOAD or DT&BF... I think some of the riffs are pretty fantastic.
Goofing off is just fine by me if the result is worth it.

Yeah, this album does not seem like serious business, but that doesn't bother me, I think it's a fun album.

Ok i also listening 2 times since yesterday... Well, musically i like it, but vocals are really really bad, and too loud for sure!
