Completely agree. this is one of the most surprising Death Metal releases I've gotten in a long time...hasn't left my tape player for quite some time!!!
It totally crushes all the weak ass "retro swedish" sound bands that seem to be popping up these days.
Pathogen is definitely what REAL Death Metal should sound like!!
I definitely hope they stick around and get some more releases out there!!
You releasing anything else from these guys on CSP? |
I'm doing a "die-hard tape":blood red tape, new layout, patch, pin...it'll be out after Deathcult. We talked about releasing it on cd after this year as well. They remixed Blasphemous Communion to make it sound stronger...so it should be killer |

| Pathogen is amazing new old school Death Metal band one of the best in the genre. I saw noone mentioned Cacodemon from Finland, they are also amazing band in the Morbid Angel type of Death Metal totally satanic and unique on the other hand... Other great Death Metal I listened last months is Goat Tyrant, their Gate To The Necro and demo 08 are amazing death metal I think! From older bands I prefer rawer stuff, but some others are also in my stereo... I prefer also tapes but I have some old ug demos on cdrs, I don't like mp3s, they are so chaotic, you cannot listen stuff that easily and it is alaways a different thging to hold a case with titles in your hads! |

| For bands that play good death metal and who dont care for "schools" you should check out Pervertum Obscurum and Kranium Diabolikum both great bands. |
