| There's 1 or 2 songs from each band (two bands). Every band's playing time is about 6-7 min. Would you record both bands in one side of the tape or would you split the bands on both sides, despite the too much unrecorded space between them? |

| Well, you can have tapes with the lenght you need. So in this case, its not a big deal, you can have both bands on same side, or one band per side (i think its better like that). You are going to make a split with? |

| yeah there are some sites online where you can order tapes which are made to specific lengths on each side |

| The problem is that I couldnt find tapes less than 46 min. I was in a dilema, how I'd like best my copies from the Draugluin/Mooncult split. I guess I prefer band per side. But it will be 6 min music into 23 each side. |

Guess I'm too lazy for searching and orders and went on the citys store.

| Like it's been said you decide which to do. I have split tapes with both bands on the same side, and split tapes where bands are divided. I'd suggest ordering specific lengths if you plan to put one band on each side. Having to fast forward to get to the beginning of side B on a 60, 90, or 120 minute tape for a 30 minute split worth of material is a pain in the ass when it can normally fit on a single side of a 60 minute tape. Also congrats on your first release. I am currently looking for a first tape release as well for the summer. |
