I personally Like as maniac early Mercyfull Fate, their stuff is just amazing, debut album and Nuns Have no Fun are great stuff, latter stuff as well as KD is not that killer but good shit I think

i started with spider's lullaby, i enjoy the older KD solo albums but the ones that came out after spider's lullaby i just couldnt get into.. my absolute favourites are the first two MF releases though |

I actually liked the new album quite a bit. Its a lot more streamlined and much more heavy metal oriented than the earlier stuff but all in all I pretty well like anything with KD in it. I'm a fanboy what can I say

Yeahn KD is still at the top. Of course maybe sound is not good as in the past (too modern maybe) but KD still severe kick-ass!!!!!!!

i saw MF live the last time they played denmark (as far as i am aware) on the 9 tour, and i saw king live in 2005 in london, and i have to say the MF show was far better than the KD show, i was really looking forward to the KD show since the MF show is still in my top 3 shows of all time, but when I saw KD i couldnt help but leave feeling really disappointed, they did play some old MF songs though with MF being on hold, and that was the best bit of the gig for me.

I almost got to see KD last year but it was right when he messed up his back. So it got canceled. It would have been nice too it was KD and Kreator headlining for like 15 USD. But oh well. Theres always next time.

kreator headlined when I saw celtic frost an they were pretty disappointing, they hardly played any old material, not that I am a big thrash fan but my buddy is big into his thrash and he walked out half way through the gig

I found an old King Diamond interview from 1984 on a local mag that I had. He was challenged by the journalist about his knowlegde on magic and satanism and proved in a way that he had messed it up in his mind and knew too little about that stuff. It was very funny reading his answers trying to explain his beliefs and saying about a curse he once did on Manowar!! Haha! It was the most amusing interview I've ever read! Of cousrse you cant blame him for being fake, just ignorant at that time and his intentions sure was honest.

This is the first part only. I had translated a lot more but the fukking computer turned off and lost it! To be continued... About “Don’t break the oath” Dave Dickson: The album is more heavy and a lot different than Melissa. The songwriting (not sure) is better and when you hear the songs you understand that those match more together. Is this the result from the tours that you had? K.D: Sure, the concerts helped a lot. Three lives in row is like having 30 rehearsals together! We are already accepting invitations to play on stages with capacity from 1000 to 3000 seats. D.D: By the way, tell us what happened at the tour with Manowar and why you left from a concert? In previous statements you mentioned a sabotage from the Manowar’s crew… K.D: We can’t accuse anyone because we have no proof. I think Paul Clark, Manowar’s manager, was involved in that story. When we picked up our equipment from the stage, we had arranged that Manowar’s trucks will carry them to our next station. Clark denied that! Martin Hooker, owner of Music For Nations, who was standing by, pissed and said: “What are you saying? We paid you to come here and you agreed to carry M.F. equipment.” Clark turned his back and went away. At this point we decided that if we had to go on, some things had to change. If the situation remained the same, we’d face the danger to be buried on stage and let down our fans. Moreover we’d lose more money for renting trucks to carry our stuff. Finally Manowar settled and agreed to carry M.F. equipment with their trucks. We returned and we lost those 1500 pounds we had paid. D.D: Why all this happened? K.D: I think they were afraid that we had become more competitive to the ticket sales. We learned from the label that we had managed bigger ticket sales and they didn’t want that. For that matter, they made us laugh for hearing them each time before they go on stage: ”We are Manowar and we are not afraid of anyone!” But that’s exactly what they were doing, they were scared like little children. And then, they were putting baby oil on their muscles to shine in order to pose better in front of the crowd.

yes, great to see it again, I have lost this issue years ago. Forest was rip off mag, it was published inties done by old fanzines (and something like that wasn't noticed anywhere), just for example I have read somewhere on the net some old interviews of Holocausto and this guy used some questions only etc. First issues of Forest was interesting latter was more into NS something i dodn't like. You are right also about the funny articles. These ones were the reason his fame reached even tv, talking about satanism etc I am living last 8 years in Thessaloniki, but I come from a vilage close to Kozani. Are you live in Athens?
