Yeah, it's mostly a pain in the ass, especially when you want to go to the damn post office and thousands of people are waiting to mail their xmas gifts and being assholes and trying to push me out of line. I should've growled at them, I suppose (I once did this in a PO line and made a small child cry. I'm a mean bitch, I know).  |

| so maybe i'm a noob but what's IIRC i think this was my best xmas ever. i got no presents, saw no family, spent waaaayyy too much on whiskey, my only two xmas presents were whiskey and cash.... happy days been spending days debating and arguing with myself in my head how to reduce someone to tears. |

| i don't think you have to be incredibly social to get some action... you just have to look in the right places, and no that doesn't mean a two dollar red headed hooker... just need to find chicks that dig the same stuff as you. the metal chicks are out there somewhere. |

| yes i would have to agree with that... i think a large part of that comes from the mis-understanding or no understanding of what metal is about from most people. I find it very hard to connect with anyone on any level because of the constant conformity that is evident in society today. |

I don't like chicks, what with being heterosexual and female, but it's just too much work trying to find guys who like the same stuff as me. I give up. I'll just whine on messageboards about not getting any. Fits with my misanthropy and grimness.

Reminds me of what a guy said that I used to work with, we were talking about music and he asked, "How do you discover new music if you don't watch MTV or listen to the radio?" I was like "are you serious?" and that was long before I had the internet, but I suppose the internet has made that idea somewhat obsolete. But still a lot of people would rather buy whatever the music industry shoved down their throats rather than look for music themselves, and maybe that indicates a lack of thinking for themselves in general, which is sad. |

Ok where the hell are you from? Where I am from here in Michigan USA there is not a single girl who is in to death/black metal at all. I have spent years trying to find one... I find it really interesting that you have the same trouble simply backwards. All the cool folks are always spread far apart. |

this is an issue everywhere, fans into underground music are dotted all round. especially if you're dedicated, i found various ppl into "bm" here but none o them new fuck all, sure some of them learnt more after i educated them, but generally no one knew shit. you usually need to go into the big cities or capitals to find these people otherwise they are generally dotted about randomly |

| you have to wonder... suppose all of us got together in one spot... would we even really get along? I think there would be many surprises... but of course that begins a discussion on the psychology of people... no one here (by "here" I mean where I live) knows shit about black metal besides one good friend of mine. It's interesting to attempt to talk to someone about the origins of black metal and the only thing they get stuck on is murder and church burnings... obviously that contributed to the overall scene but I am amazed to watch stupid people get hung up on one thing and quit listening to anything else you have to say. That is a big part of the reason I just tend to stay out of the social light. My one big "dream" (for lack of a better word) was always to meet a girl who understood metal. And... still looking. |

| my ex is one of only two females i have met in the uk who under stands bm. and both of them live a few hours away. i hate long distance relationshits though, (my ex went to uni near me) I'd rather stay alone than enter into a long distance waste of time or spend time with chicks into mainstream "metal" since they;re overly opinionated and too retarded to really think, you try to find an in between part when it comes to music and blaring shit in the house but they cant think open mindedly to do that... anyway, if my posts dont make sense, i am off my trolley as they say in the uk. the train has been derailed.  |

| No no, your posts make sense just fine. It is simply something that could open a whole world of additional topics. It would be interesting to continue this discussion for sure. I agree with what you are saying 100%. It seems most girls are interested in the more mainstream aspect of metal... mostly metalcore bands and radio happy shit that is easily accesible. I think the honest metal chicks just dont come out of the woodwork and they should. |
