Wondering about Paypal

Any of you guys use it?
I was wondering, if I open the account now, how much time will it take for me to be able to receive payments?
I'm not going to be able to keep this "hidden cash" policy...

it can differ, it only took me a week to be able to use it since i was able to verify my account quite quickly, but i got my account about 10years ago, my brother wo did it a year or so ago really struggled with it due to all the verification procedures, though i dont know if it would be the same in norway as it was in the uk...

just give it a go, i had to put my card details into my account and then click "verify". they then took 2 payments of about 1euro cent each. on my statements it showed a code next to the payment which was taken by them, i then had to type the two codes into the paypal site to verify my card. and i could use my account.

dont know if this is still how they do it, now adays i just change my card details without needing to do any verification procedures. and i';ve never had any problems with paypal.

I'll double check.

I use paypal..it's take it or leave it. Just remember, paypal takes a 1.5% fee out for everytime someone sends you money. Figure that into your prices.

Pretty soon...you'll be as busy as I am. It's not fun.

It is not. But I'd rather be busy, it gives me an excuse for not doing anything at Uni. And even though it's a pain and it's money and time-consuming, I enjoy this.

I use a personal account, but none of that is going to matter real soon...my distro is now a webshop thanks to nur_ein_tier. She re-did the CSP site for me. We'll launch it soon.

When you get more stock...the web shop might be an easier task to keep track of. All the shipping is calculated for you, etc...

I have more stock than that which is listed on my site. There was some stuff from my old distro that I never sold...so when I started CSP up, I had a little shit to start. I just pulled cases out of storage full of cds and records. I'm going to wait til the webshop is up and functioning to list them. I still have the last few Mutiilation full lengths on lp and cd in these bins. If I wanted to be a jew, I could eGay them.

the more stock you get the more free releases for your own collection

Yeah, I basically only distro stuff I like, so I put one copy aside for me. I considerably enlarged my tape collection in the past two weeks.
Getting soon some good stuff, I'll let you guys know...

aye that i the way i operated, and if I took a chance on something and it sucked i just made a tradelist to trade wholesales with other distros/labels

yes, jb you should get a paypal. i think it's been ten or so years since i opened my account, i have a premier account but the only thing that this matters for is if you sell a lot of stuff or more expensive stuff (I was selling custom corsets and suchlike, and without a premier account i could only withdraw like $400/,month, otherwise it doens't matter. The money would've stayed there in a regular account, but I could only withdraw up to my limits). But since everybody has one now, I suspect you're going to run into a lot more people who are going to want to paypal instead of concealed cash and waiting around for the mail to get there. but same, I think it was just 2 deposits of a few cents, then i had to enter those on the site when i got my bank statement.

I will trade on anything for the most part...within my spectrum of taste. I will NOT spend my cash to buy a label's releases unless I support the artist though. Again, if it sucks...I throw it in my trade/wholesale list...or if I have more than 4 or 5 copies I add it to the trade/wholesale list.
