I don't know, I just fall upon clues all the time and by any possible source from the time I heard about it.

You guys havent heard anything? That's very strange to me because here has become a really big deal. I see it in articles, books, it's even topic to TV's documentaries. And internet is full of all this. You must explore this page for this weird stuff

i dont watch tv so i wouldnt have seen any of it there and i havent read a news paper in a while other than just local paper which doesnt delve into things like this. never seen anyone talk about it before either

I wouldn't give much credibility to a "theory" introduced by people who clearly paid little attention in astronomy class.

I never studied astronomy so i dont now what's credible and what's not

Nether do I know about their attention to astronomy class. I think they paid attention to the ancient's astronomical theories though.
But again, I dont know if they made the right conclusions from these beliefs.

Y'know, I just wasted a good hour and a half compiling a freakin' thesis on how fucking stupid the whole Nibiru cult is. So here's a digested version:

The whole "Nibiru 2012" crock of shit is nothing more than UFO and New Age whackjobs expanding on a recently offered (and credible, mind you) theory regarding the possibility of our own Sun being part of a binary star system. According to it's conclusions, a theoretical brown dwarf star (called "Nemesis") of twice to three times the mass of Jupiter orbits our own Sun in a slightly elliptical path at a distance of 1 to 3 light years, completing an orbit every 60 to 70 million years.

This much is accepted as theoretically plausible. What's not accepted, nor should be, is the suggestion that Nemesis is host to it's own solar system including a planet called "Nibiru;" that Nibiru harbors ancient intelligent life, which are basically big-assed humans that used to live here; and that the orbit of the Nemesis/Nibiru system actually crosses the orbital plane of the inner planets every few thousand years, causing catastrophe and pissing off Mayans.

1- THERE IS NO FUCKING NIBIRU. It doesn't exist, because it can't exist. If Nemesis is in fact host to a "mini solar system" of sorts, there is no possibility whatsoever of an Earth-like planet developing outside the Oort cloud under any conditions. Even if one did, the orbital path which Nemesis (called something entirely different depending on who's spinning the yarn) is supposed to follow on it's journey to the inner solar system would take it (and Nibiru) directly through the Oort Cloud and Kuiper Belt, where Nibiru would likely be smashed to bits through constant comet and planetoid impacts. Even if it survived a few hundred orbits, the battered lumps of rock and metals known as Nibiru would eventually fall apart completely and succumb to the gravity of the Sun.

2- THERE ARE NO FUCKING ALIENS. The elliptical orbit Nibiru supposedly takes would, due to it's changing proximity to the Sun, result in a warming of roughly 270 degrees centigrade (near Absolute Zero at it's most outer point, to just below freezing at it's closest). Life on Earth enjoys a mere 135 C habitable zone; humans a scarce 45. At temperatures that low, gas (including hydrogen and oxygen) freezes to steel-like consistency. Since brown dwarfs emit little or no visible light or heat, Nibiru would spend most of it's period in darkness and deadly cold. It's unlikely that any air-breathing, mineral sustained humanoid mammal can survive those conditions, no matter how "ancient" or "giant" they may be.

3- THERE IS NO "PROOF," "EVIDENCE," OR ANY OTHER CONFIRMATION OF A GODDAMN THING. Nothing offered as "evidence" has ever sustained practical investigation. Photoshop + MovieMaker + internet = a bottomless audience of people willing to believe virtually anything. The Bible's wrong. Nostradamus has been proven wrong. Mayans were wrong (and were crackheads).

I could go on, but I think you get the point. Seriously, and without the Bill Nye statistics, imagine what would happen to the solar system if a another star passed through it once. Just once. Do you really think that competing gravitational forces that massive would do little more than tilt us just a wee bit more than usual?

The thing sure, is that there is more probability that we have problems with meteorits than any so called Nibiru...

Forgive me if I didn't understand something. You said that Nemesis makes that orbital journey carryings Nibiru? And you said that Nibiru cant make it till here. If this is what you are saying, then what really matters is that Nemesis will pass by with or without Nibiru. So the story is really possible again, I dont care if Nibiru that is supposed to carry these Annunaki make it but what about Nemesis? Iif we see it from a point of a psysical procedure? Maybe the name Nemesis isnt a coincidence. Nobody said that there will be a little bit more affection than usual. It will be a catastrophy, causing a lot of changes in our solar system. All the ancient civilizations talk about those catastrophies, more known as the great cataclysms that occured many times before, vanishing great developed civilizations, including Atlantis. What I'm thinking is that could be possible a physical procedure of our planet's cleansing, after a decayed and overused course in time, cleaning our atmosphere once again and leaving a few survivors to develop a new civilization that will carry the new myths and stories about "gods", great wars and technologies. Maybe in a few hundred years from now, a newborn civilization will carry our present story in their myths. Our current mythologies maybe are exactly that thing.

is atlantis stil a mere myth? or has it been proven fact now? havent read about this in a good decade or so

I think nothing has been proved. But many believe that Atlantis was a huge land where the atlantic ocean is. Some discoveries have been made near Bahama (I think it's that way in english) and generally near Carribian islands, underwater ruins that could suggest a whole city. Also something like a huge road, walls and pyramid-like buildings near Bimini. And more. Russian researchers found in Azores that rocks in 2.200 meters depth were once exposed to atmosphere, 15.000 years ago. Maybe I'll be able to tell more in the near future.
