| My review: http://www.metal-archives.com/review.php?id=215842
Fans of ...in the woods (all of their releases) should definitely give this band a try. The current description of 'experimental black metal' does by no means cover all the facets of this band, but might be applied at the current state in order to avoid confucion; once the next release is out a proper description can be given.
this is a really fascinating band.

| Terrible, this is exactly what is wrong with black metal these days, too much pretension, why is this even here, fuck off retarded "thoughtful" pseudo intellectual "black metal", this stuff is seriously gay. | |

| You obviously did not read my post, neither did you listen to the music. The bm part can be set to 20%; Aurvandil did a bad choice when labelling the band; the tags used for ...in the woods can also applied here, but as there is only one release out so far, there is little sense in doing so... the basis for a judgement is too small.
The problem is todays bm is that 90% of the bands are retarded and are so deparately trying to keep the status quo and stew in their own grease that it is hilarious to see it.
This stuff has all been done by ...in the woods back then, but this band from the UK, took the music of all eras of this band and combined it into something new.
I very much prefer this over another Burzum, Darkthrone, Bathory ... clone.
blockman, stop your homophobia... |

| T., you should no by now that I'm not prompt to judgment. I did read your post, and obviously I DID listen to the music. Now, sometimes, it's better to linger in unoriginality than over-experimenting and sounding crappy, bland, or uninspired, like this band.
I very much prefer Darkthrone, Burzum and Bathory. (why listen to clones when you have the originals?)

| well I've listened to the tracks and yes they are HEAVILY ...in the woods influenced. A couple of songs are fine, the female voice is good but somehow maybe too darkened. about the topic/non topic. Yeah a comment as the one from jb can be expected here, but somehow in one other thread "discoveries" we had some bands that went beyond the borders... Still, good music but not so original. I think somehow it suffers of the same trouble with ITW : good stuff but it holds in itself the risk of becoming terribly boring after some time/years... only of course in my opinion | |

| I like it... maybe cause i'm stoned. but anyway... saying this has anything to do with bm is as far fetched as calling venom bm
didnt remind me of old ITW... but it did almost sound like a "new" ITW clone at times

And he's not even involved in that project. Imagine if it was his own... hahaha Anyway, I'm not taking side for their music. I wasn't patient enough to listen carefully and to read the whole review.

| This would not be bad if you put out the guitars and those so called black metal parts..As some dark wave, ambient or something like that this can be good..otherwise nothing but gey. | |
