| I'm a bit of a beer snob, so I figured I'd make a post for all the board members to post some info about some of the finest beers from their respective nations. | |

| The most known beer from Italy is called BIRRA MORETTI, famous for the guy with the moustaches drinking a big beer... Maybe the finest is the one called MENABREA that is property of the group FORST which produces a good dark beer called Sixtus Other smaller italian brands are Dreher, Poretti, Peroni... don't like them a lot. Unfortunately in the past months me & my gf and friends were taken in the depth of discount beers. Some, coming from Germany are quite fine... and so damn cheap. Usually we buy boxes of 24 or more cans by 50 cl... | |

| The best beers in the world comes from my region Pictavia, obviously hehe! All beers are crafted, don't know if the word is correct in English, to say it's not industrialized at all but hand-made respecting ancestral traditions. I am addicted to the "Brasserie de Bellefois", they make beers on the theme of Pictavian wars, for example my fave one is the "732" (when Charles Martel stopped the muslim invasion here hehe, the place of this battle is 10 mn far from my house). A page about these beers : http://www.guide-biere.fr/voyager/bellefois.html Some white ("Blanche") beers are made on a small and beautiful island called Ré : http://www.bieresdere.fr/ On another island (Oléron), they make many different tastes, mixing the beer with natural products. "La bière des naufrageurs" : http://www.bernezac.com/Oleron_Naufrageurs.htm Another brewery invented the beer mixed with Cognac, another glorious beverage created in my region a long time ago! The beer is made in Bercloux and is called "La Bercloise" : http://www.bercloise.com/ A brewery created some beers also inspired by ancient stories from here, like "Mélusine", a fairy that was a normal woman during the day and then turned into a creature half-woman half-serpent, with wings, during the night. One of the most famous legend here. Also in this part of Pictavia we have the castle of Gilles de Rais, also called "Barbe Bleue" as there has been so many legends about him. And they made a beer dedicated to this myth. The site : http://www.vendee-tourisme.com/a-suivre/Melusine-la-biere-qui-vient-de.html Sorry, all sites are in French, but there are some pictures! |

| Hoegaarden became totally industrialized and truly tastes like piss compared to the crafted one we have in Pictavia! Though if you offer some to me, I won't say no of course hehehe... |

| Beer from Montenegro? No good beer in your country? Orias, you mentioned "La fin du monde"! It comes from Québec, and the same brewery also do "La Maudite", "L'eau bénite", etc... Among the best beers in the world for sure!!! Pretty much in the Belgian tradition, made with ingredients from Québec. Awesome! English article about UNIBROUE, best brewery ever in North America : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Unibroue |

They sell them in packs of 4 and they are almost $10 USD.

All fine bevereages in their own right. La Fin du Monde is excellent, destroyed of them and DMT this weekend. Stella is great too. As far as my favourites go its Holsten, Pilsner Urquel, Duvel, Blue and Paulaner.

| Don't drink Hansa. Bergen's ale is unworthy of such a title. Piss is a more adequate term. Ugh... | |

| everyone who said they like duvel should try out Kwak and karmeliet trippel as all three beers possess the same alcohol levels but duvel--> kwak ---> karmeliet
get smoother/softer and easier to drink in that order

If interested this is the place where he do stuff : 11/11 @ landmark. He also draws, some weird stuff in his website http://www.nicolavinciguerra.com/ http://www.myspace.com/fecalove About BAD beer, I'd advice to avoid this when in Denmark. It's one of the cheapest but also one of the worst... Stay away from the white bear!

'Spirited' Newcastle delight Hughton
Newcastle manager Chris Hughton was delighted with his side's spirit and discipline in the 1-0 win at Arsenal.
He said: "This is a fantastic win. For anybody to come here and get a result is a difficult ask.
"We rode our luck a bit and we needed a particularly good save from Tim Krul. We needed a spirited performance by 11 players on the park and we got it.
"You have got to be resolute and defend well as a team. To keep a clean sheet here is outstanding."
The win is Newcastle's third in a row in the league and will ease the pressure on Hughton, who has had to cope with speculation about his job. 606: DEBATE Survival is our man priority but, we look safe, (at the moment) so I think a top-10 finish is looking like a target now
Howay_The_Lads
Newcastle's victory came thanks to Andy Carroll's header just before half-time, when the big striker took advantage of a mistake by Arsenal keeper Lucasz Fabianski to nod in.
In contrast, Krul made one outstanding save from Samir Nasri, and Newcastle largely contained and frustrated Arsenal.
Hughton added: "Tim is a young goalkeeper who is learning and improving game by game. He has a confidence about him and today won't do him any harm.
"Keeping a clean sheet here is testament to the back four and the goalkeeper but also to a team performance that allowed us to always stay in the game."
Hughton also kept faith in a formation that had worked in the last two league matches, even though few teams come to Arsenal and play with two strikers.
"We kept two players up top because I felt that the same team that won our last two league games deserved to have another go," he continued.
"We adjusted the front two a little bit. It is very difficult to come here with two playing high up, so Shola Ameobi did a great job linking back in [with the midfield]. When you get a result, the shape generally works."

Defeat was harsh - Wenger
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger acknowledged that his side were far from their best but also believed the result was harsh.
"It was a big disappointment because our performance was not good enough. But I think we were unlucky because they had one shot on target the whole game and we lose 1-0," Wenger reflected.
"We never found our flow and we made a mistake on the set-piece where Newcastle are strong.
"We had some players coming back from injury who were not completely 100% and we had some players who played in midweek who were not the sharpest.
"And we put ourselves in a difficult position because if you go in at half-time at 0-0 you have a better chance of winning the game than losing it."
Wenger also refused to blame Fabianski for the defeat, although he did concede that the keeper was at fault for Newcastle's goal.
"Fabianski is strong enough. He has done extremely well lately," Wenger added: "Today, I felt he was too confident he could get the ball without any challenge and that punished him."
Wenger did, however, question the late sending off of defender Laurent Koscielny, who was shown a straight red for pulling back Newcastle substitute Nile Ranger.
"It was not only harsh, it was not right," Wenger stated. "Sebastien Squilacchi was covering Koscielny. It has to be a clear goal-scoring opportunity for a defender to be the last man. It was not the case."
